Hi:

Just got my NH 21D today, FEL & rear blade. Very happy, but I was reading the Operators Manual and found it rather thin. Is there any other manuals available that I should pick up.

Thanks,

Troy

Depends on how much maintenance you want to do yourself. I got both the repair and parts manuals for my Ford 1710 through a NH dealer. The repair manual gives detailed disassembly, repair, testing procedures and specs for most everything but they are intended more for experienced mechanics. You can't really call them instructional.

I find the parts manual useful mostly because the parts diagrams are much more detailed than repair manual diagrams. If there's ever a question about the order parts go onto to a shaft--right down to nuts, bolts and washers, a parts manual will answer it. The part numbers themselves are mostly useful for talking to the parts guy by phone to make sure we're talking about the same thing. NH manuals are expensive but worth it I think. ....
